Brendan Jones is Amalia Vargas's current boyfriend. His first appearance is in Amalia, Diary Two. He is friends with Maggie Blume, Ducky McCrae, and Vanish.
Appearance and Personality[]
Brendan has blonde hair, blue eyes, and is drop dead cute. He is originally from Short Hills, New Jersey. He is kind, friendly, emphatic, shy, and thoughtful.
Biography[]
Brendan becomes friends with Amalia a week after he moves to California. He tells her he likes her by leaving a peach rose in her locker before the first big Vanish gig. After Amalia apologized for not talking about it, he says it’s okay and they laugh. He then asks Amalia to dance.
Amalia and Brendan hate being apart, especially when he goes to camp for 7 weeks. When Amalia is beaten because of her race, Brendan doesn’t talk to her. Amalia thinks Brendan hated her, but he was staying away from her because he felt bad he didn't do anything. That makes them become closer and they later have their first kiss.
Brendan is a CIT at a camp in western Massachusetts. When he comes back from camp, he notices Amalia doesn’t want him to put his arm around her and isn't talking to him, so he asks Ducky for advice and becomes friends with him. He later finds out that Amalia doesn’t want to move too fast in their relationship and he respects his boundaries more.
