Clarence King or commonly known as King is a student at Stoneybrook Middle School with the members of the Baby-sitters Club. He hates being called by his first name and insists on being called by his last name.
Biography[]
He is a member of the SMS football team and the SMS Track Team. He gives Logan Bruno incredible grief about being a member of the BSC in Mary Anne Breaks the Rules.
In Logan's Story he loses a place on the SMS track team to Logan Bruno during the hundred-yard dash. King eventually becomes a member of the team sometime during Logan Bruno, Boy Baby-sitter. He finds Johnny Hobart when he runs away from Logan Bruno at the Stoneybrook Health Fair and brings him to the BSC's booth.
In Stacey's Secret Friend he fake flirted with Tess Swinhart only to prank her later. King would call her "babe" as a reference to how she looked like a pig. King asked her out on a date to a place called Hog Heaven at the Washington Mall. King, Alan, and Jim Poirier planned on taking pictures of her next to the Pig decorations and printing it in the school paper. Before that could happen the members of the Baby-sitters Club turned the pranks back on the boys.
In Logan Bruno, Boy Baby-sitter, Clarence admits that he almost joined the Badd Boyz. He told Logan That took some guts to rat them out to the Stoneybrook Police. He had gotten into a fight with Jackhammer. Before the events of the book, they started doing some stupid stuff. We were at this store and Jackhammer took a little radio. The clerk noticed it was missing from the counter and he yelled at Clarence. They all ran away, and afterward was when he got into that fight. He told T-Jam I was going to blow them open about the robberies they were doing. Jackhammer said he and his buddies would say Clarence was the thief. They left a note saying they were going to go after my little brothers. Clarence never went after them because of that.
