Biography[]

Prior to the series she had friends named Maisie and Beth as friends growing up. Her first love was a boy named Frank. She had met him at the ice cream shop. He gave her a silver ID bracelet with stars all over it and a music box. Frank went off to war and was killed. She had never told anyone about him.

She's in her early sixties, and never sends anyone home empty handed. Granny grew up in Stoneybrook and still lives there. She lives at 747 Bertrand Drive right next to her childhood home. Her best friends are Esther and Hank. Granny and Hank grew up in the same neighborhood, so they've known each other forever.

Sharon moved back to Stoneybrook because she wanted to be close to her parents. Granny is relatively organized. She doesn't like it when Jeff says geez.

In Mary Anne and the Music Box Secret, she and her husband went on an anniversary cruise. While they were gone the basement had flooded and the BSC helped fix it up. She had a quilt and a rug that she had made ruined in the flood. Granny and Pop-Pop kept letters and notes from when they were kids together that wasn't ruined. Sharon Spier throws an anniversary party for them when they return. On the night of Sharon's senior prom, she gave Sharon an ID bracelet with stars all over it. Then told Sharon to never forget her first love, even though she didn't approve of Richard.

In Dawn and the Older Boy, it's mentioned that Granny was from a wealthy family and didn't approve of Richard because he was from a poorer family.

In Dawn's Book, she celebrates her fiftieth wedding anniversary and goes to San Francisco to celebrate with her family.
