James was originally the lead guitarist of Vanish, until he was kicked out. He was replaced by Justin Randall.
He was originally sweet. He had a crush on Amalia, and they started dating. He became good friends with Maggie and gave her an ankle bracelet and often apologized for his actions. He got jealous because she talked to her boy friends, and he wanted her to ditch her friends, stop volunteering at the shelter, and even almost hit her. He kept flying off the handle. He was also creepy and said he loved her. Before they broke up, he said that he would kill himself if they did and left creepy voicemails in the night. After breaking up, he threatened to fight with Justin, but then Vanish kicked him out.
James left her creepy notes, dolls, and a dead rose. He eventually stopped, and liked another girl. It is unknown if they broke up eventually or not.
