Trivia[]
- Members of the Baby-sitters Club help with the festival prep in this book. Despite being part of the club at the time Abby Stevenson is not mentioned, maybe because she didn't want to attend. The festival is also not brought up within the main Baby-sitters Club series for unknown reasons.
- Continuity: Karen recalls Ollie from Karen's County Fair on page 10 and Bobby going to camp at the same time on page 35. Karen recalls raising money from selling candy in Karen's Candy and an ice skating show in Karen's Secret Valentine.
- Inconsistencies: Karen questions if she could learn to knit before Christmas, but she knitted a blanket for Ms. Colman's daughter in Karen's Big Sister on page 58.
- Pop culture and real life references:
- Karen and the BSC clean up the Schafer/Spier barn and make the path for the sleigh.
- Mr. and Mrs. Stone would throw another festival if they could.
- This is one of the few appearances of Ms. Colman's husband and daughter.
- Claudia won third prize in the snowman contest.
- Seth helped build booths along with his carpenter friends.
- Hannie gave her friends glow in the dark shoe laces and sidewalk chalk, Nancy gave them lip gloss, and Karen gave them framed pictures of them with their snow bunny.
