Continuity
- On page 5 Derek's time in Stoneybrook when he filmed "Little Monsters" from Kristy and the Vampires is brought up.
- Claudia is helping with the opening of The Greenbrook Club which was first introduced in Abby and the Secret Society.
- On page 45 Kristy recalls how she didn't really like Dawn when they first met in Mary Anne Saves the Day.
- Claudia references when Mallory attracted bugs on their trip to Shadow Lake from Baby-sitters at Shadow Lake on page 57.
Inconsistencies
- Mallory says that the events of Kristy and the Vampires is in the Mystery Notebook, but the mystery notebook wasn't thought of until a year later.
- Ben Hobart is seen being baby-sat in chapter 5, but he's usually a baby-sitter for his siblings.
- In Boy-Crazy Stacey and Mary Anne and Too Many Boys, and Baby-sitters at Shadow Lake Mary Anne is mentioned to burn easily in the sun and has to cover up. In this book she doesn't bother to cover herself at all.
- David Michael is all of sudden allergic to the flowers in Elle's cabin.
