Kristy and the Walking Disaster is a graphic novel by Ellen T Crenshaw and the 16^thinstallment of the BSC Graphic Novels that will be published on September 17, 2024.It is based on the original novel Kristy and the Walking Disaster and is the fourth graphic novel that Kristy narrates.

They're lean, they're mean, they're the pride of Stoneybrook. Who are they? They're Kristy's Krushers!

When Kristy sees how much her little brothers and sister want to play on a softball team, she starts a ragtag team of her own. Maybe Kristy's Krushers aren't world champions (how could they be, with Jackie Rodowsky, walking disaster, playing for them?), but nobody beats them when it comes to team spirit.

Now Bart's Bashers have challenged the Krushers to a game. It's bad enough that the Bashers truly are lean and mean — but what's worse is that Kristy has a crush on the Bashers' coach!

Differences Between Book and Graphic Novel

• Bart gave Kristy the idea of starting a softball team. In the original novel, it was her own idea.
• Kristy tells Bart that Andrew is five. In the original novel, he was four.
• Kristy has thirteen kids on her team. In the original novel, she had twenty-one. (Scott Hsu, Timmy Hsu, Jake Kuhn, Patsy Kuhn, Laurel Kuhn, Nina Marshall, Buddy Barrett, and Suzi Barrett are not on the team.)
• Watson accidentally reads Kristy's questioning if Bart thinks she's cute. This didn't happen in the original novel.
• Before the game, Hannie calls Kristy and says Linny told her that when playing a real game you're allowed four strikes instead of three. In the original novel, it's Suzi who got this misinformation from her brother Buddy.
• Karen was the pinch runner for Gabbie during the game. This wasn't in the original novel.
