Mr. Snipes is the curator at the Stoneybrook Museum. He is shown in Claudia and the Mystery at the Museum and mentioned in Claudia and the Mystery in the Painting.

Biography[]

Mr. Snipes he doesn’t usually see people on Saturdays but Claudia Kishi tried to see him anyway. His receptionist is named Ms. Hobbes. Claudia notes he is a skinny guy, dressed in a black suit. He had black hair and a thin black mustache and very pale skin. Claudia tries to see him telling him her suspicions about a sculpture being fake. Mr. Snipes doesn’t believe her and tells her to stop playing detective. She steals a copy of his resume off his desk when he tells her to leave his office.

He was the curator at a museums in Texas, Oregon, and New Jersey that was also robbed. However, he did find a painting to complete a collection in California. It turns out that preventing robberies is his specialty, and he’s often hired by museums who feel they are vulnerable to theft.

The BSC suspected him to be responsible for the theft of the coins. However, it turned out to be  a janitor. It turns out that he wasn’t a horrible person and Mr. Snipes shook Claudia’s hand and made her an “honorary trustee” of the museum for helping solve the case. Claudia says he wants her to help him set up a show of local student work.

In Claudia and the Mystery in the Painting, he recommended Claudia to help with the Kaleidoscope room. He called her a professional baby-sitter and good at what she does.
