The Baby-Sitters Club Wiki

The Randolph Mansion is located in Reese, Maine. Tom Menders inherited it from his uncle. It only appears in Baby-sitters' Haunted House.

General[]

The house was originally owned by Mary and Reginald Randolph. Together they had two children and six grandchildren. Her son and his family lived in the mansion with her. In diaries and journals entries were made about how lively the mansion was in the past. They used to host hunts and parties in the years that Mary was a widow. Mary died in her sleep in the mansion.

It is four stories high with a six-columned entranceway, five brick chimneys pierce the sky, and there's an authentic widow's walk on the roof. Even with 16 people staying there there's one whole floor not being used. The attic has many old things including an antique baby carriage, two sleds, a trunk of children's toys, and a large armoire. The dumbwaiter transverses three floors.

Georgio Trono works and sometimes sleeps in the gardener's cottage which has electricity.

Trivia[]

  • Mary Randolph did volunteer work at the hospital and the Seaman's Widows and Orphans Society, indicating that the ghost stories about her and the house is not true.
  • Architectural draws of the mansion is held at the historical society and not allowed to leave the building.
