The SMS Baseball Team is one of the sports teams at Stoneybrook Middle School. It is first mentioned in Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger.

There is a rivalry between SMS and Howard Township's baseball team since Sharon Spier and Richard Spier were students. The baseball team does well and had a winning streak in Dawn and the School Spirit War. Everyone seems to forget about the baseball team when the debate about spirit month becomes heated.
In Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger, Logan mentions that the coach has been tough on him, causing him to be cross most of the book.
The short takes teacher Damien Cobb is the assistant coach. The coach is Mr. Blake in Mary Anne and the Search for Tigger.
In Stacey's Ex-Boyfriend, Robert had quit the team when he became depressed. Stacey encouraged him to talk to the coach and open up about his feelings. It's later revealed that he rejoined the team. In this book the coach is Jack Romano.
