The Baby-Sitters Club Wiki

The SMS Express is the weekly school newspaper at Stoneybrook Middle School.

General[]

Claudia Kishi runs a personals column that was started in Claudia and the Perfect Boy. The paper gets rid of a half page pet care column to make way for Claudia's Personals. The paper has its own office at the school. Outside the office door there are a number of boxes for personals, club announcements, finished articles, cartoons, letters to the editor and sports schedules. Inside the office there are several desks, three computers, a photocopier, four typewriters and an artist's slanted desk. Claudia gets an old looking beat-up desk. They run out of copies for the first time after Claudia's personals column debuts.

There is an unsigned editorial called SMS News and Views. The newspaper also exposes basketball misdeeds. Stacey McGill and Robert Brewster write an editorial upholding school spirit in Stacey and the Cheerleaders.

An SMS correspondent is responsible for one article each month, a round-up of student activities. Jessi Ramsey is the sixth grade correspondent and writes about the school play in Starring the Baby-sitters Club!
