The Stevenson Family is Abby Stevenson' family. They are originally from Long Island, New York, but moved to Stoneybrook, CT when Abby was 13. They make their first appearance in Kristy and the Dirty Diapers.

General[]

The extended Stevenson family is rather large. In Abby in Wonderland, the family was building a family tree to share at the party. One set of Abby's great grandparents on her mother's side are Fanny and Ira Weiss. Abby's great grandmother, Fanny, had twelve other siblings. Her daughter, Elsie Goldberg, had moved to the United States in the 1920s from Germany. Nine of her siblings stayed in Germany and died in the Holocaust. One of Elsie's sisters, Marta, was about Abby's age when she died.

The Stevensons live two doors down from Kristy at 1206 McLelland Road, next door to Tabitha Porter (Morbidda Destiny). Behind them lives Mr. Finch (briefly) and Ms. Fielding in Abby and the Notorious Neighbor.

They moved from Long Island with all new furniture and decorations. Anna and Abby Stevenson go to Stoneybrook Middle School because neither Stoneybrook Day School or Kelsey Middle School have an orchestra for Anna to play in in Kristy and the Dirty Diapers.

Together they hosted a decorate your own cupcake booth in Welcome to the BSC, Abby for the carnival.

In Mary Anne and the Music Box Secret, Abby mentions that her grandfather didn't know what to do with himself once he stopped working. Her grandmother used to kick hm out of the house because he'd just wander around complaining about how bored he was. So he'd take long walks in the neighborhood. Kristy cuts her off from saying anymore. It's unclear which side of the family Abby is talking about.

In Abby and the Notorious Neighbor there's a big maple tree in the front yard; a couple of its branches reach toward Abby's window.

In Kristy and the Dirty Diapers, Kristy mentions that the house was empty for ages. There was an addition added on to the house before the family moved in. It's also mentioned that a decorator, Ms. Steinert, came to decorate the house before they moved in.

Outside the house is a sand color and a dogwood tree planted in the front.

There's a basement and an attic mentioned in Welcome to the BSC, Abby.

In Abby's Book, Abby says that the living room is huge, there's a family room, a big sunny kitchen, a dining room, a den, and a bathroom on the first floor. On the second floor there's a room that is made an office, five bedrooms, and three bathrooms.
