He is the brother of Alexandra Carmody and they live in Darien Connecticut. He initially sends Claudia a secret admirer note at breakfast one morning that said "I think you're beautiful." He paid for a Claudia's coke and the aquarium entrance fee on the island they visited. He also paid for her ice cream on the ship.
