WSTO is the local radio station in Stoneybrook, CT. It has been around since the end of World War II. It was first mentioned in Dawn and the Impossible Three. The building and interior are first seen in Claudia Kishi, Live From WSTO!.

General[]

WSTO is located just outside of Stoneybrook, in a low tan brick building near the highway. Two towers stand next to it with blinking lights on top.

The station manager is Mr. Bullock. In front of the building there is a small reception area with a young man named Max at the desk, working a telephone headset. Across from the reception area there is a long hallway off of which there are three doors marked as Studio 1, Studio 2, and Studio 3. The walls and floors are both thickly carpeted.

At the end of the hallways are a conference room and the station managers office. Outside of Studio 1 is a red light that says On Air. Inside is a room crammed with electronic equipment in every corner. Shelves of tapes and CDs line the walls. One wall is glass to see the engineer's booth.

Claudia Kishi hosted her own kids radio block in Claudia Kishi, Live From WSTO! with Ashley Wyeth on Thursdays and Saturdays for a month.

The station was in dire financial straits. One of their main sponsors backed out, that funded a lot of the shows. Due to the lack of funds, the station had to fire a deejay and also some the staff. They also ended up selling a few old records and equipment. This was eased by contribution by Rhoda Hewitt, after Claudia and Ashley helped her son.
